Rain is likely on Wednesday in 10 out of the 35 districts of Karnataka, the meteorological department has forecast.
The districts likely to receive some rain are Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Belagavi, Haveri, Bengaluru, Chikkamagalur, Kodagu, Kolar, Shivamogga and Tumakuru.
Bengaluru is expected to have a partly cloudy sky with a possibility of rain or thunderstorm on Wednesday, said officials from the meteorological department.
The maximum temperature would be around 32 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature is likely to be 22 degrees Celsius. The humidity is likely to be 50 percent.
On Tuesday, the maximum temperature was 32.2 degrees Celsius, one notch below the season's average while the minimum temperature was recorded at 22.3 degrees Celsius, one notch above the average, the Met Office said.
On Tuesday, Gulbarga recorded the maximum temperature of 42.9 degrees Celsius.
Some other places which saw the mercury shooting above 40 degrees Celsius were Bijapur at 41.2 degrees and Raichur at 41.8 degrees Celsius.
