Shivakumar accused the Union government of harassing the Opposition through ‘tax terrorism’.

“The BJP has understood that they’re losing the election. They’re afraid of Congress and the INDI Alliance, which will defeat the NDA. So, they’re trying to create fear,” Shivakumar said.

“I, too, got an (I-T) notice last night, which is already a settled matter. I was shocked,” Shivakumar said.

The Karnataka Congress president said no action has been taken against Union ministers who face various cases. “There are so many cases, I don’t want to mention, of sitting Union ministers, even those from Karnataka...no action has been taken in the last 4-5 years, nothing has been done, no witnesses called, no chargesheets filed...only for Congress people they’re taking action. And, ‘B’ reports are being filed for those joining BJP,” he said.
