The dead has been identified as Prashanth (36), a resident of Gabgal near Magundi. He was injured seriously when a KSRTC Bus plying between Koppa and Chikmagalur collided with his bike.
Prashanth was on his way to Jayapura from Basarikatte Kaimara. It is said his bike collided with the bus as he was trying to overtake another vehicle. A case has been registered.
