Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, RDPR Minister Jagadish Shettar said he met ISRO scientists and sought assistance.
“The ISRO has satellite support to take high quality pictures of any specific locality. The organisation will take pictures before work begins and after it is completed. The difference in two pictures will show the progress achieved”, he said.
The department has been receiving complaints that many are collecting payment without executing the work sanctioned. Once the ISRO is involved to review the works, it would be easy to check the loopholes in the system. The minister said the ISRO would, initially, take up the pilot project in one of the districts near Bangalore.
Based on the outcome of the pilot project, the government would extend the programme across the State.
