Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has said that the state government would arrive at a decision on functioning of schools after observing the Covid situation for a week.

"Though Covid cases are on the rise in the state, the situation does not call for closure of schools. We will decide further course of action by observing the situation for a week," Yediyurappa said.

He was addressing a public meet after launching several development works in Tiptur on Saturday.

The chief minister said that he won't dispute "claims" about corruption in state.

"Files are not being disposed of on time. They are kept pending for 15-20 days in government offices," he said.
