As many as 74 players from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district participated in the tourney. Sharan Rao won the open category event. Pavan Bhat and Vradhika Shetty won the Under-15 boys and girls championship, Abhishek Bhat and Swathi Bhat won the Under-12 boys and girls championship and Mihir and Vidish V Bhat won the Under- 9 boys and girls championship.
