The following special trains will be run to clear the extra rush and facilitate the return of the Northeasterners who left Bangalore and other places during the recent exodus.
Train no 05902 Dibrugarh-Yeshwantpur express special leaves Dibrugarh on September 26, 2012 at 11.45 pm and arrives at Yeshwantpur at 6 pm on September 29.
Train no 05901 Yeshwantpur-Dibrugarh express special leaves Yeshwantpur on September 30, at 9.30 am and arrives at Dibrugarh at 4.25 pm on October 3.
The train will run from Dibrugarh via New Tinsukia, Mariani, Furkaring, Dimapur, Diphu, Lumding, Jagiroad, Guwahati, Kamakhya, Rangiya, Barpeta Road, New Bongaigaon, Kokrajhar, New Alipurduar, New Coochbehar, New Dhupguri, Jalpaiguri Road, New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj, Barsol, Malda Town, Howrah, Kharagpur, Bhadrak, Bhubaneshwar, Khurda Road, Vishakapatnam, Vijayawada, Chennai Central, Arakkonam, Katpadi and Jolarpettai to reach Yeshwantpur.
Tri-weekly express
Southern Railway will run tri-weekly express special trains between Kochuveli and Bangalore City with effect from October 1 to 30, to clear extra rush of traffic during festive season.
Train no 06316 Kochuveli-Bangalore City will depart at Kochuveli station at 4.30 pm on Sundays, Mondays and Fridays, from October 1, and reach Bangalore City station at 10 am, the next day. The last service from Kochuveli is on October 29.
Train no 06315 Bangalore City-Kochuveli will depart at Bangalore City station at 5.15 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays, October 2, and arrive at Kochuveli station at 10.15 am, the next day. The last special from Bangalore City is on October 30.
Train no 12684 Bangalore City-Ernakulam special and train No 22608 Bangalore City-Ernakulam weekly express will depart Bangalore City at 6.50 pm instead of 5.15 pm and to reach Ernakulam station at 6.10 am instead of 4.15 am.
Train No 16321 Bangalore City-Trivandrum weekly express will depart Bangalore City station at 5.15 pm instead of 6.50 pm and arrive at Trivandrum station at 10.30 am instead of 11.10 am.
