Bengaluru: The South Western Railway (SWR) is running special trains between Bengaluru and Mangaluru to meet additional passenger demand.

The Shiradi Ghat, a crucial road link between coastal Karnataka and Malnad, has been closed from 6 pm to 6 am due to landslips. 

Train number 06548 will leave from Mangaluru Junction at 1.40 pm on Saturday (July 20) and reach Yeshwantpur at 11.15 pm the next day. 

Train number 06549 will depart from Yeshwantpur at 12.30 am on July 21 and 22 to reach Mangaluru Junction at 11.40 am. 

Train number 06550 will depart from Mangaluru Junction at 1.40 pm on July 21 and 22 to reach Yeshwantpur Junction at 11.15 pm. 

The trains, consisting of 18 coaches, will have stoppages at Bantwal, Kabakaputtur, Subrahmanya Road,  Sakleshpur, Hassan, Channarayapatna, Nelamangala and Chikkabanavar. 

Train cancellation

Train number 12658 KSR Bengaluru-Chennai Central Daily Superfast Express will be cancelled on July 30, August 6 and 13.  

Train number 12657 Chennai Central-KSR Bengaluru Daily Superfast Express will be cancelled on July 31, August 7 and 14.
