Bengaluru: The State government has announced the state film awards for the year 2017 based on the recommendations made by Kannada film director-producer N S Shankar. The panel submitted its recommendations to Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy in Bengaluru on Thursday.
The awards are:
First Best Film: Suddi
Second Best Film: March 22
Third Best Film: Padayi
Film with a social message: Hebbet Ramakka
Best family entertainer: Raajakumara
Best children’s film: Eleyaru Navu Geleyaru
First best director: Gangadhar Salimath (for the film Ayana)
Best regional film: Sofia (Konkani)
Best actor (Male): Vishruth Naik (film: Manjari)
Best actor (Female): Tara Anuradha (film: Hebbet Ramakka)
Best supporting actor (Male): Manjunath Hegde for the film Lakshminarayana Prapanchave Bere
Best supporting actor (Female): Rekha (film: Mooka Nayaka)
Best story: Hanumanth B Haligeri (film: Kengulabi)
Best screenplay: Venkat Baradwaj (film: Kempirve)
Best dialogue: S G Siddaramaiah (film: Hebbet Ramakka)
Best cinematography: Santhosh Rai Pathaje (film: Chamak)
Best music direction: V Harikrishna (film: Raajakumara)
Best editing: Harish Komme (film: Mufti)
Best child actor (male): Master Karthik (film: Rajkumar)
Best child actor (female): Shlagha Saligram (Film: Kataka)
