Nitte Deemed to be University Pro-Chancellor Dr M Shantaram Shetty called upon students to serve the society with creative and positive thinking.

He was speaking after inaugurating the sixth graduation ceremony of the Bearys Institute of Technology at Mangala Hall of Mangalore University.

“There are many illiterates in our society. Only 8% percent of students are getting higher education. Among them, only 1% of students are getting PhD. Students get many things from parents, teachers and society in obtaining education. Hence, they should return something in form of service to the society,” he said.
