Police have succeeded in cracking the shocking double murder case, which took place in Doddamalthe village by arresting one Dilip (39).
Kavitha (45) and her daughter Jayashree (17), who were last seen walking at their farm, were later found in a pool of blood on Tuesday.
Superintendent of Police Suman D Pannekar had formed a special team to investigate the case.
Found hiding
The suspect, Dilip, who was found hiding at his poultry shop, was arrested within hours of the murder.
Dilip reportedly committed the double murder due to a land dispute. Kavitha had even filed a complaint against Dilip with Somwarpet police, a source said.
