Lok Satta Party - Karnataka has urged the State government to initiate action against officials involved in the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) scam pertaining to the recruitment of gazetted probationers.
Addressing a press conference in Bangalore on Monday, party State executive committee member Ravikrishna said the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) had found sufficient evidence against former KPSC Chairperson Gonal Bhimappa, member Mangala Sridhar and officials to prosecute them under the Prevention of Corruption Act. While the CID has submitted its 185-page report to the government three months ago, no action had been initiated by the government.
The party will stage a dharna in front of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s residence on December 21 to register its protest. He said the entire selection process should be cancelled and justice rendered to genuine candidates. The KPSC should be reconstituted by recruiting persons of impeccable integrity.
The party, which has been demanding that the government make public the CID report, on Monday hosted the entire report on its website www.loksattakarnataka.orgMembers of the party also distributed a summary of the report to the public in front of the KPSC office.
