The Government Lower Primary School at Sannakere in Harandoor resembles a train.

To attract children, the school authorities have chalked out an idea of painting the school in a different style. The classrooms resemble train coaches. In addition, there are cartoons drawn on the walls of the classrooms.

The walls are also adorned with portraits of poets with their pen names, and the names of districts they hail from in Karnataka, among other details.

The school has a smart class facility. The ‘Nali Kali’ classrooms are arranged in a systematic manner. Each classroom has a filtered water facility and a wash basin.

At present, 22 children are studying in the school, said headteacher M S Nataraj and assistant teacher A Bharathi.
