Belagavi (Karnataka): BJP State President B Y Vijayendra on Thursday said that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah who was accused No. 1 in MUDA land scam will resign and winter session of the state legislature to be held at Suvarna Vidhan Soudha in Belagavi will see new chief minister being welcomed.

Vijayendra told reporters here on Thursday that Siddaramaiah will have to quit and many chief ministerial post aspirants were conducting secret meetings to garner support for themselves, but were making statements that the chief minister will complete his tenure.

"Since Siddaramaiah assumed office, people were telling that government was in coma stage, no new developmental works have taken off. Chief minister and his cabinet colleagues have been confined to Bengaluru.
MUDA land scam has engulfed chief ministers chair. Ministers expressing support to chief minister too were aware that Siddaramaiah will not complete his term. Since three to four months there was no government in the state. Developmental works have come to big zero since Congress came to power and its leaders were busy sowing seeds of enmity among the people," he said.

"Siddaramaiah’s chair has been shaking due to MUDA land scam and embezzlement of funds in Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation. BJP wanted to discuss the issue in Legislative Assembly, but government to deny its discussion formed one member inquiry commission. Chief minister had been denying land scam in MUDA, but lands were returned by chief ministers wife after Karnataka High Court and People Representative Court orders. Siddaramaiah has been appearing helpless and has lost confidence, Vijayendra stated.
North Karnataka has been neglected by the government. None of the ministers were touring the districts. Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Priyank Kharge talks against us for hours together, but does not have time to meet the Gram Panchayat employees protesting in Bengaluru," he said.

Regarding BJP MLAs Ramesh Jarkiholi and Basangouda Patil Yatnal not ready accept him as state president, he said, "I have been appointed as state president by the high command and some people need time to accept the decision taken. Myself was long race horse and have seen ups and downs including when former chief minister B S Yeddiyurappa when was organising the party."

Vijayendra said, BJP made huge gains in the assembly elections in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir as they refused to accepted bogus guarantees of Congress and accepted guarantees of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Despite campaign against the party, BJP retained Haryana for the third time and became biggest opposition party by winning 29 seats with largest vote share.
