Addressing a press meet, she said the the programme will host various sessions on bar and the role of women. The first day of the session would deal with professional expertise and ethics and personality development.
While, the second day of the conference would discuss subjects like dowry harassment act, sexual harassment in work places and domestic violence. The conference will have an open session on April 17 between 2 pm and 3.30 pm, she said.
M Rama Jois, Rajya Sabha member and former governor of Bihar and Jharkand will inaugurate the conference. Justice Manjula Chellur, Judge, High Court of Karnataka, S A Ramdas, Minister for Medical Education and District In-charge will be chief guests.
Opposition leader in the State Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah, MP H Vishwanath, Sheela Aneesh, Director, FIDA, Bhaskar Lakshmi, president, All India Federation of Women Lawyers’ Association will be chief guests.
Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa would attend the valedictory of the two-day conference, she said.
The Federation of Women Lawyers’s Association in association with the Mysore District Women Lawyers Forum will jointly organise the meet.

Meanwhile, an Advocate’s Forum for Social Democracy has organised a programme on “Social Justice and Reforms” at Kalamandir on April 15 at 4 pm.
In a press meet, Appaji Gowda, president of the Mysore Bar Association told reporters that Janata Dal (Secular) MP and former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy will inaugurate the programme.
