The Karnataka State Commission for Women has dropped the case of alleged sexual harassment filed against Bangalore South BJP candidate Tejasvi Surya.
This follows an email sent to the commission by the woman whom the Congress had accused Surya of harassment. “I haven’t filed any complaint against Tejasvi and we are good friends. The complaint by Congress leaders was politically motivated to ruin the political career of Surya, which should be dropped,” the woman had written.
The commission dropped the case after the woman rubbished the allegations, Nagalakshmi Bai, chairperson of the commission said.
A woman had tweeted accusing Surya of sexually harassing her.
