Former Karnataka Chief Minister and KJP President B S Yeddyurappa today moved the high court seeking anticipatory bail in a case relating to alleged forgery.
Justice Anand Byrareddy posted the matter to June 21.
The Lokayukta Court on September 10, 2011, had issued notices to Yeddyurappa and then Industries Minister Murugesh R Nirani for their alleged involvement in forging the signature of an industrialist to grab 26 acres of land in Devanahalli.
The complaint by Alam Pasha in the Lokayukta court relates to the sudden cancellation of 26 acres allotted for a Rs 600 crore project during the Global Investors' Meet (GIM) in June 2010.
Pasha has alleged that Yeddyurappa and Nirani had written to the government forging his signature, stating that his company was no longer interested in undertaking the project.
Following this, a high-level committee had cancelled the project.
