Hubballi-Dharwad Mahanagar District Congress Committee President Altaf Hallur has suspended four youth Congress leaders and recommended the KPCC to suspend another youth congress leader for their role in forceful closer of hotels near old Bus stand in Hubballi during the Barath Bandh on Monday.

The Youth Congress leaders have been identified as State Youth Congress Secretary Imran Yaligar, Hubballi-Dharwad Yuva Congress former secretary Prakash Burburi, Hubballi Dharwad Youth Congress General Secretary Praveen Shelwadi, Hubballi-Dharwad East Assembly Constituency Youth Congress President Imran Kadur, and Nagarjun Katrimal.

They were seen throwing plates, jugs, and glasses in Ayodhya and Santosh Hotels near old bus stand, while demanding the hotel managements to close the hotels during the Barath Bandh.

According to the press release from the party, this was against the party’s principal and orders issued by the KPCC, which had asked its party leaders to protest peacefully and not to force the bandh.

While Altaf has suspended three youth leaders coming under his jurisdiction, he has recommended KPPC to suspend others involved.
