A youth who was crossing the road died after a KSRTC bus rammed him on Gowdalli Main Road on Sunday.
M N Dinesh (25), a tipper driver by profession and a native of Maragodu village in Arkalgudu taluk, is the deceased.
Dinesh, along with one, Vishwanath, was travelling on a bike. At Gowdalli, they stopped to answer nature’s call, after parking the bike on the roadside. A bus that came from the opposite direction hit Dinesh and dragged him for about 50 feet, injuring him seriously.
Even though Dinesh was rushed to a hospital in Arkalgud, the doctor declared him brought dead.
A complaint has been submitted by Vishwanath at Shanivarasanthe police station. A case has been booked against KSRTC bus driver Ranganath Kasturi, the accused.
