New Delhi: BJP president JP Nadda on Monday said that the bomb blast in Kerala shows how bad the law and order situation in Kerala has become under the Left government. He said that this shows that  terrorism is flourishing in the state and that a Hamas leader had addressed a protest rally in the state.

“Everyone should condemn the bomb blasts in Kerala. Radical forces are continuously raising their heads in Kerala, but the attitude of the Kerala government towards the radical forces is quite soft. Congress is also maintaining silence on this,” Nadda said at a rally held by the NDA to protest against the LDF government.

Hamas leader Khaled Mashal’s virtual address at a protest rally in Kerala also found mention in his speech; Nadda said that a few days ago, a leader from Hamas had addressed a program in Kerala. “Surprisingly, the ruling LDF government, Chief Minister Pinnarai Vijayan and Congress have all maintained silence on this. After all, why this silence regarding terrorism? BJP demands an independent investigation into this matter,” he added.

He alleged that the bomb blast is being underplayed, and information about the blast is being held back.

Nadda also said that the Union Home Ministry is ready to provide all possible help to the Kerala Government in the investigation of this matter. “When I visited Kerala, in July 2022, I said that Pinarayi Vijayan’s government is soft towards the radical force. The Kerala government’s silence has encouraged the radicals in the state,” he said.

He alleged that the state government was sabotaging the schemes of the Central government. “This government is involved in enhancing alcohol consumption. They are here to protect illegal alcohol distribution. This government is also trying to sabotage the central government’s schemes. PM Modi had given sanction to provide 70 lakh tap connections under the Jal Jeevan Mission, but the Pinarayi Vijayan government has only been able to provide 12 lakh tap connections,” he said.

He added that PM Modi had given sanction for NH-66, where the Centre was going to make six lanes, but that the Pinarayi government created obstacles by not giving land. “When BJP, which is the nationalist force, comes to power Kerala will be part of the mainstream and will move forward,” he added.
