Interacting with newspersons here yesterday, Maharashtra Forest Minister Patangrao Kadam said instructions have been issued to the Forest Department to prepare a plan in this regard.

Anjenary, located off Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Road, is about 23km from here in North Maharashtra.

Considering the growing population of leopards in the district, the government is planning to start jungle safari to attract tourists, Kadam said.

To a question, the Minister said the government would launch schemes to prevent smuggling of woods from the forests.

Kadam, who was on a two-day visit to Nashik, visited the pilgrimage town of Trimbakeshwar near here yesterday.
