In a latest revelation pertaining to the Baba Siddique murder case, it has been discovered that the shooters were in contact with Lawrence Bishnoi's brother Anmol Bishnoi before the murder of the NCP leader.
The three suspected shooters who allegedly committed the murder had talked to Anmol Bishnoi through Snapchat before executing their plan, ANI reported quoting Mumbai Crime Branch.
When the Snapchat of the arrested accused was closely examined, it was found that the shooters and Praveen Lonkar were directly in touch with Anmol Bishnoi and used to delete the messages after receiving them.
Anmol was in contact with the accused from Canada and America.
The Crime Branch has so far arrested 10 accused in the case, including two shooters and a weapon supplier. Four mobile phones have also been seized from the accused.
Meanwhile, it has also been revealed that the three gunmen involved in the killing of Baba Siddique practiced firing near a waterfall in adjoining Raigad district before executing the murder.
The city police's crime branch, investigating the October 12 murder, said interrogation of the arrested accused persons has revealed that shooters Dharmaraj Kashyap, Gurmail Singh, both arrested, and Shivkumar Gautam, who is absconding, practiced firing near a waterfall in Palasdhari under Karjat tehsil, in the outskirts of Mumbai in September.
Meanwhile, shooter Shivkumar Gautam and several other accused named by the police in the Baba Siddiqui murder case are also absconding.
During investigation, it was also revealed that accused persons had collected photos of Siddique (66) from social medial platforms, including Instagram. The probe team is treading cautiously as the arrested accused are providing misleading information during their interrogation.
Crime branch teams have intensified their search for the absconding accused, especially Gautam, a Uttar Pradesh resident who was the main shooter.
