Mumbai: Veteran politician and minister Chhagan Bhujbal, who was hospitalised following health issues, said that he was okay and there is nothing to worry.
Bhujbal (76) is the state’s Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minster and is a senior leader of the Ajit Pawar-led NCP.
On Thursday, when he was in Pune, he fell ill and was flown to Mumbai in a special flight.
He had complaints of fever and throat infection and his condition is stable currently.
He was rushed straight to the Bombay Hospital and Research Centre, where he is undergoing treatment.
“I am admitted to Bombay Hospital for treatment. The treatment is going on and now my condition is stable. So there is no reason to worry,” Bhujbal said in a brief statement issued from the hospital.
Bhujbal is also the founder-President of All India Mahatma Phule Samata Parishad, an organisation of the OBC community.
