Mumbai: As the investigations into Pune’s Porsche car crash progressed, the police have arrested the minor’s mother - days after they put his father and grandfather in custody for alleged destruction of evidence.
The minor’s mother, Shivani Agarwal was arrested by the police in the case involving tampering with the boy's blood samples at the Sassoon General Hospital in Mumbai.
Earlier, his father Vishal Agarwal and grandfather Surendra Agarwal were arrested by the and they are in judicial custody for 14 days.
The boy is currently in Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Udyog Kendra, a juvenile rehabilitation/correctional home, till 5 June.
The father-son duo allegedly threatened the driver to take the blame for the accident after they kidnapped him and illegally confined him to their bungalow in the Vadgaon Sheri area.
The driver is now an important witness in the case.
The mother’s arrest is very significant in the case. The arrest comes days after it was found that the teenager’s blood sample sent for alcohol test was replaced allegedly with that of a woman - leading to reports that it could be his mother’s.
