The incident took place around 1830 hrs on Thursday.

The Marine Drive police station on Friday launched investigations to track down the woman.

The Mantralaya security team has secured the CCTV footage from various points and are trying to identify the woman and track her down.

“What we investigated, we found that she entered  Mantralaya, without a valid entry pass. The woman told the security personnel that she forgot her bag inside the secretariat complex and wanted to collect it," according to police.

Once she entered Mantralaya, she went to the sixth floor office of Fadnavis where she removed the name plate and smashed it on the floor. After that she went out of Mantralaya undetected.
