Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s office confirmed that it has received a communication from Param Bir Singh. However, it said that the letter it received was unsigned and has not come from the official e-mail ID of the officer.
“The Chief Minister’s secretariat has received an e-mail at 1637 hrs… the letter mentions his name but is not signed,” the CMO said in a statement on Saturday night.
The e-mail address is being verified. “The Home department is trying to reach out to Singh,” the statement said, pointing out that since the letter does not carry a signature and comes from an unlisted e-mail ID, adequate verification is being carried out.
