New Delhi: Union Food and Consumer Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi on Monday urged Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to resign from the CM post to allow impartial probe into the MUDA case.
"You don't need to leave politics for now. Leave the post of Chief Minister first. Enable unbiased investigation," Joshi posted on X.
Joshi was replying to Siddaramaiah's latest statement where he alleged that the state BJP leaders including central ministers keeping mum despite the "injustice" meted out to Karnataka in 15th Finance Commission.
Siddaramaiah had said, "Have Pralhad Joshi,, Basavaraj Bommai and Jagadish Shettar (both MPs and former CM) ever spoken on injustice happening to Karnataka? What should we say, if talking about injustice happening to Karnataka is called political?"
"Did the central government give special grant announced to Karnataka? Did Joshi (Pralhad Joshi) ask about it? Let him say if the Centre has given, if given I will quit politics, if not, will Joshi quit?" the Chief Minister had said.
Asserting that no injustice was meted out to Karnataka during the NDA regime, Joshi said that the state has received all the grants due from the Centre.
"You (Siddaramaiah) are aware of the huge grants given to the state by the Modi-led central government... its figures have been mentioned several times before," Joshi said.
"Valmiki Corporation scam, MUDA scam, corruption, farmers suicide, farmers land to Waqf, law and order collapse, milk, petrol, diesel price hike, electricity price hike... these are all part of your inefficient administration," Joshi said.
