"There are transgressions and these are sorted out at flag meetings between the two countries," said General Officer Commanding in Chief, Northern Command, Lt. Gen. K T Parnaik.

"It is not exactly an incursion or intrusion but in my view it is a transgression," he was replying to a question on incursion by the Chinese troops in Ladakh on the sidelines of an investiture ceremony at Akhnoor, some 35-km  from here.

He said due to improper demarcation on the Line of Actual Control, "they (Chinese troops) enter Indian Territory but both the nations sit and sort out the matter through talks at flag meetings".

On BJP’s plan to hoist the national flag at Lal Chowk on the Republic Day, the GOC-in-Chief said "law and order is a state subject."

To a question, he said “we are on toes to meet any situation vis-a-vis law and order."
