As Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, Dhankhar sought the 'guidance' of Leader of the Opposition Kharge whether Rule 267 would be allowed to discuss jobs issue.

During this discussion, other members of the Congress were raising their hands, when Dhankhar admonished them asking if Kharge represented the party or not.

Coming to their defense, Kharge said this his party people 'are very peaceful'. After this, Dhankhar and Kharge shared a lighthearted moment, where the latter told the former he does not 'look back' while talking. Kharge responded that one shouldn't look back either, making a joke that then 'attack' might come from the front.

He said this in jest as members of the Rajya Sabha began claiming they are senior citizens during House proceedings.

Dhankhar makes an exception for a Rajya Sabha member to speak, saying that he's a senior citizen. To this House members say 'me too', after which his response came.

He was raising the issue of 'brain drain' in India, and said that the BJP's response to his question in the House was 'unsatisfactory'.
