An FIR has been filed against Mohammed Rasool Kaddare, a resident of Yadgiri in Karnataka, for allegedly threatening to assassinate Prime Minister Narendra Modi, news agency ANI reported on Tuesday.
Kaddare posted a video on his social media account, brandishing a sword and issuing a threat to kill PM Modi if the Congress party assumed power at the Centre. The FIR has been lodged against him at the Surpur police station in Yadgiri under sections 505(1)(b) and 25(1)(b) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) as well as the Arms Act.
