Maharashtra's cultural capital and business hub of Pune has reported a maximum of 16 COVID-19 positive cases in India.
As on Sunday evening, there are 8 COVID-19 cases in the jurisdiction of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and 8 in the neighboring Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) area.
The total number of cases in Maharashtra now stands at 32 with one more person being tested positive in the tourism town of Aurangabad.
The PMC-PCMC suspected and confirmed cases are being admitted to Naidu Infectious Diseases Hospital.
Pune's neighborhood district of Ahmednagar has 1 positive case.
Mumbai has five positive cases while one each is reported in Navi Mumbai, Thane, Kalyan and Kamothe.
Thus, the Mumbai-Pune belt itself has two dozen cases.
