Railways increases advance reservation period for all special trains from present 30 to 120 days

Indian Railways on Thursday decided to increase the advance reservation period (ARP) of all specials trains from current 30 days to 120 days.

This is applicable to15 pair Special Rajdhani Express started from May 12 and 100 pair special timetabled train to be started from June 1.

Booking of parcel and luggage shall be permitted in all these trains, said Rajesh Dutt Bajpai, spokesperson, Indian Railways said in a statement.

Even current booking, tatkal quota allocation of seats to road side stations also to be same as in regular time tabled trains.

These changes will be implemented with effect from 08:00 hrs of train booking date of May 31, 2020.

These instructions can also be viewed on the Indian Railways website-www.indianrailways.gov.in under the head commercial circulars in Traffic Commercial Directorate, the statement said.
