A 45-year-old man, who was exploiting the gullible by posing as the general secretary of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), was arrested by the Kota police on Thursday.
The police registered a case against Dinesh Ganiga, under The Emblems and Names (Prevention of Improper Use) Act 1950. "Under the Act, criminal and legal action will be initiated against individuals or institutions, who abuse the NHRC logo or misrepresent the Commission's name," police sources said.
