Jaipur: Tightening its noose around Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasra and his family, the Enforcement Directorate has summoned his two sons for questioning in Delhi in a case related to an alleged exam paper leak.

Elder son Abhilash Dotasra has been called to Delhi on November 7 and the younger one Avinash on November 8. Sources say both of them are likely to be questioned together on November 9.

The ED had conducted raids at the premises of Dotasra in Jaipur and Sikar on October 26. The premises of Congress party candidate from Mahua constituency in Dausa district, Om Prakash Hudla and some others were also raided at the time.

The ED had taken over the case of paper leak of Rajasthan Public Service Commission’s examination REET for the Senior Teacher Grade II recruitment conducted between December 21 and December 24, 2022, from Rajasthan Police and were carrying out the raids in this connection.

Many times, Dotasra had publicly hinted that the ED was soon going to raid his premises.

During the raids, Dotasra had urged his supporters to remain calm and let the ED officials do their work smoothly. After the raids, he said the ED went away without questioning him or could not find anything incriminating to take from his premises. They took away his and his sons’ phones and his email id in a pen drive. ED officials are said to have searched the residences of his sons too.

The ED had earlier searched the premises of Kalam Academy in Sikar, which prepares students for civil services and state civil services. Dotasra claims that he has no connection with the Kalam Academy whatsoever.

His younger son Avinash is an officer in the Rajasthan Accounts Services, although he has a BTech degree. He was ranked 258 in the 2016 Rajasthan Administrative Services exams.

The ED had questioned Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s son Vaibhav on October 30 in Delhi for nine hours in a case falling under the Foreign Exchange Management Act.

Gehlot had earlier compared the coming of ED officials into Rajasthan with "invasion by the locust swarms". He had also said ED officials would descend like locusts, just before the elections.

Rajasthan goes to polls on November 25.
