Industrialist and philanthropist Ratan Tata, the chairman-emeritus of Tata Sons, is likely to attend a function at the RSS headquarters in Nagpur next month.
The 81-year-old former chairman of Tata Group, the salt-to-software giant, would be meeting RSS chief Dr Mohan Bhagwat in the orange capital of Maharashtra.
Tata is likely to be the chief guest at the valedictory function of the three-year training camp, Sangh Siksha Varga.
This would be the fourth time that Tata and Dr Bhagwat would be sharing a platform. Previously, Tata has visited the RSS headquarters twice.
It may be recalled, last year, former president Pranab Mukherjee was the chief guest at the annual RSS event - that snowballed into a major political issue with Congress leaders attacking him. In the function, Mukherjee had hailed the RSS and its founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar.
Of late, Tata has taken keen interest in the RSS projects. It needs to be mentioned that Tata Trusts too had been working on various social projects across the country.
