Flaying the Congress for their "evil conspiracy to defame a patriotic Hindu movement of the RSS by terming it as saffron terror and Hindu terror", RSS leaders cautioned the government to desist from the "sinister move in the interest of larger national unity and social harmony".
This agitation across the country is to create public awareness about "certain vested interests who are indulging in a calumnious campaign against an organisation committed to character, discipline and national integration".
They came down heavily on the Congress for making "irresponsible" statements against senior RSS functionary Indresh Kumar who has been named by Rajasthan ATS (anti-terrorist squad) in the chargesheet filed in Ajmer blast case.
Over 1,000 RSS workers participated in the dharna. The RSS leaders who spoke included Bhaghaiah, Lt General V M Patil, Jayadev and Mutt seers Soumyanathananda and Sureshananda.
