Mumbai: 'I am in good spirits', said industrialist-philanthropist Ratan Tata amid rumours about his health as he went for a check-up at the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Monday.

Tata (86) is the Chairman-Emeritus of Tata Sons, the flagship company of the Tata Group and Chairman Tata Trusts.

Amid the rumours, Tata in a signed statement posted on X and Instagram, said that he was fine.

“I am aware of recent rumours circulating regarding my health and want to assure everyone that these claims are unfounded. I am currently undergoing medical check-ups due to my age and related medical conditions,” said the 86-year-old.

"There is no cause for concern. I remain in good spirits and request that the public and media respect refrain from spreading misinformation,” he added.
