Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday expressed sadness over devastation caused by the floods in Pakistan.

“Saddened to see the devastation caused by the floods in Pakistan,” the prime minister posted on Twitter.

A devastating flood displaced over 33 million people across Pakistan, resulted in the death of at least 1,061 and leaving 1,575 injured,

“We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, the injured and all those affected by this natural calamity and hope for an early restoration of normalcy,” tweeted Modi.
