The security across Punjab has been beefed up in view of the Operation Blue Star anniversary. ADGP (Law & Order) Punjab, Arpit Shukla informed that adequate security arrangements have been made to maintain peace.
He said, “In view of the Operation Blue Star anniversary, adequate security arrangements have been made across Punjab. We will ensure that any kind of procession happens peacefully. 11 companies of CRPF, BSF and CAPF are deployed across the state and heavy police forces have been deployed in cities. Search and cordon operations are increased at bus stands, railway stations in Punjab, everything is under control.”
