BJP national president and Rajya Sabha member Amit Shah on Friday called on Saint Yudhishtir Lal at the Shadhani Darbar in Raipur.

Shadhani Darbar is a prominent religious centre for members of the Sindhi community, where even the community members from Pakistan also arrive and offer their prayers.

Shah had directly gone to the Darbar from Raipur airport. He called on the Saint as part of the party's nationwide ‘Sampark Se Samarthan’ (Contact to Support) outreach programme, to highlight the achievements of the Narendra Modi-led government in the last four years.

Shah was on a day visit to Raipur to address the booth level party workers.

Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, BJP State president Dharamlal Kaushik and other leaders were also present when Shah met the saint.

Interacting with Shah, saint Yudhishtir said that the mission with the objective to revive the glorious past of India has been undertaken, the goal would be achieved. In eternal religion (Sanathan) it is recognised that a righteous king should rule.

“To build our culture one need not to damage the culture of other. It is a national party which has truth and simplicity and at international level also it has made a mark. On the sides of Sindhu culture, the Vedas have been evolved. After Partition, when the earlier generations came and settled, then like in food, the ‘ghee’ mixes every one merged into the country,” he said.

He said that former deputy prime minister Lal Krishna Advani had visited the darbar and had directed Chief Minister Raman Singh to regularly visit the place.

“Today is my lucky day as I got a chance to visit the 300-year-old Darbar. I had come to take blessings in 2017, then the saint Yudhishtir had asked me to visit again,” said Amit Shah.

Amit Shah further said, “I have visited the Darbar several times and had also participated in several events which bring joy. The community with the power of their hard work have made this an important place. I hope for blessings so that all can be involved in the reconstruction of the country and achieve success.”
