A South Korean delegation met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in Amaravati on Thursday and expressed its willingness to extend infrastructure aid to Visakhapatnam metro rail.
The delegates included infrastructure providers of metro rail coaches, signaling system and track developers.
Naidu termed the Visakhapatnam Metro as a flagship project and said that the metro services should cater to the needs of people.
Asking the South Korean team to make Andhra Pradesh as a favourable destination, he said that Kia motors was set up in Anantapur district and will be rolling out its first car in January next year.
“Kia was set up on a fast track. An industry friendly eco-system was developed in the state and a South Korean town ship would be developed in Anantapur district,” Naidu said.
He asked Korean investors to come forward to invest in the state.
Later, Naidu conducted a review meeting of CRDA and Amaravati Development officials, who explained to him about the beautification project of the canals of Bandar, Eluru and Ryves, that flow through the Vijayawada city at a stretch of 37 km.
They said that survey was completed for a 4.8 km stretch.
The chief minister directed the officials to prepare plans to beautify the canal bunds in Vijayawada, Guntur and Tenali (Tricity area).
He also directed them to prepare proposals to interlink the canals.
The officials also presented plans to develop the river bunds along Krishna river. The chief Minister asked the officials to develop the river front from the Vaikuntapuram upstream of Prakasam barrage and Chodavaram downstream of Prakasam barrage.
Later, the CRDA officials explained Naidu about the progress of works in Amaravati.
Amaravati Bonds BSE Listing
With a good response to Amaravati bonds, officials invited Naidu for BSE listing programme to be held at Mumbai on August 27.
