The Government would seek the services of a sitting judge of the Kerala High Cour considering the seriousness of the tragedy, Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan told reporters during his Cabinet briefing.

"It often is difficult to get the services of a sitting judge for inquiries considering the heavy workload in High Courts. However, considering the seriousness of the issue, the government would write to the Chief Justice(of High Court) to accept the request", he said. The terms-of-reference of the inquiry would be decided after getting the services of the judge, he added.
