Congress Party's star campaigner Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's political debut in Lucknow demolished a few myths but also created new ones.

Priyanka, who held a roadshow in Lucknow, sported a black 'tika' (mark) on her forehead as she accepted greetings from Congress supporters.

Black 'tika' is usually used to protect the person from 'evil eyes.'

The bus, chosen for Priyanka's roadshow, was the same used in Punjab during the Assembly polls there. Congress workers said that it was the ''lucky bus''.

Priyanka's visit, however, demolished a myth, too.

The state Congress headquarters was whitewashed after almost two decades. Party leaders said that there was a myth that the president of the state unit would lose his job if he got the office whitewashed.
