Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin inaugurated a newly constructed Kalaignar Centenary Jallikattu Arena in Keelakarai neat Alanganallur in Madurai today.
The Chief Minister also unveiled a bronze statue of former chief minister and late DMK leader M Karunanidhi at the newly constructed arena in Madurai.
Tha Jallikattu stadium is dedicated to Karunanidhi and named after the late DMK leader.
The stadium highlights the significance of Tamil Nadu's cultural identity.
