Hyderabad: A day after ED arrested BRS MLC K Kavitha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in Telangana's NagarKurnool on Saturday that he will not spare any corrupt person and also appealed to the voters of Telangana to strengthen him by electing BJP candidates in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections to take forward his war on corruption.
“The partnership of corruption is strongest in dynastic parties. Congress and BRS are partners in corruption. Congress was involved in the 2G scam. BRS indulged in corruption in water, leading to the irrigation scam. Both Congress and BRS support the land mafia. Moreover, BRS is sitting in partnership with other corrupt parties outside the state. This truth is being revealed every day. No corrupt person will be spared, I am promising the people of Telangana today. I need the blessings of Telangana in this fight against corruption,” said Modi.
The prime minister, who addressed a huge gathering in Nagar Kurnool, said that Telangana suffered while caught between both corrupt Congress and BRS, which has hindered the progress of the state.
“Over the past 10 years, Telangana remained divided between policies of Congress and BRS. Both these parties have together crushed the dreams and aspirations of Telangana. It's concerning that after the loot of BRS, Telangana now has to suffer at the 'Hand' of Congress. Congress looted and lied to the people of India for seven decades. They gave the empty slogan of 'Garibi Hatao', and yet, took no action to uplift the poor. They used SC, ST and OBC communities as vote banks, and yet, did nothing to transform their lives. A wave of change was brought when the country blessed Modi with a full mandate,” he added.
He also said that while Congress used SCs and STs as vote banks, most benefits of his government schemes were received by them.
“The most benefit of our government's schemes is received by SC, ST, OBCs, women, and farmers. This is the true fight for social justice. Corrupt and dynastic people like Congress and BRS exploit the name of social justice for their political gains. These are the people who had made desperate attempts to defeat Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar in elections. They had also made full efforts to defeat Droupadi Murmu, who belongs to the ST community, in the presidential elections. They also humiliated Telangana's deputy chief minister who is a dalit,” he added.
