Lucknow: In a shocking incident, some miscreants allegedly assaulted a tribal youth over a dispute and then ‘urinated’ on his face in Uttar Pradesh’s Sonbhadra district, about 450 kilometres from here.
According to the reports, the miscreants also made a video of their act and later uploaded it on social media.
Samajwadi Party (SP) leader I P Singh, shared the video on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) and took potshots at the BJP government in the state. ‘’The victim is a tribal...this is an example of Amritkal in Yogi Adityanath’s Ramrajya’’, he said.
Sources said that the incident happened a few days back in Chilkadad area in the district. The video purportedly showed the miscreants numbering around half a dozen assaulting the youth and then ‘urinating’ on his face.
The miscreants managed to escape from the spot after perpetrating the crime.
The youth, who suffered serious injuries, was admitted to the hospital. The matter came to light after the video went viral on social media.
Police said that one person was taken into custody in this regard. ‘’A case has been registered and we have launched a hunt to nab the other culprits,’’ said a senior police official in Sonebhadra on Wednesday.
Earlier also similar incidents had happened in the state.
