Ayodhya: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday sought to remind the people about the slogan often raised by the BJP and other saffron outfits that ''Ram Lalla hum ayenge, mandir wahin banayenge'' (we will will make the Ram Temple on the birth place of Shri Ram) and said that ''Mandir wahin bana hai'' (the temple has been constructed on that place).

''Mandir wahin bana jahan humne banane ka sankalp liya tha'' (the temple has been built exactly where we had pledged to construct it), Adityanath said while speaking after the consecration ceremony at Ayodhya.

He said that this moment had come after a long wait of 500 years and all the citizens of the country had been waiting for this moment. ''We all are emotional and I am certain every person must be feeling the same'', he added.

Adityanath said that everyone was reciting the name of Shri Ram today and it seems as if we had entered the 'Treta Yug' (the time when Lord Ram ruled Ayodhya). ''Every Rambhakt is happy that Ram Lalla will now be sitting on his asana'', he said.

The chief minister also recalled the struggle and sacrifices made for the Ram Temple and said that many generations which longed to see the Ram Temple at the Ram Janmabhoomi could not get their wishes fulfilled.

Adityanath said that it must be one of its kind example in the world where the majority community had to fight such a long battle for the construction of a temple of its god. ''We are fortunate as we are witness to the consecration of Ram Lalla,'' he added.

Adityanath also said that Ayodhya, which had been termed as the 'Baikunth of dharti' (the heaven on the Earth) remained neglected for centuries as part of a plan, had now got its due place and respect as he showcased the state government's efforts to renovate the temple town and restore its old glory.
