Sources said that the woman, wife of a Kanpur based businessman, had allegedly been murdered by a trainer at a gym where she used to go for exercise every morning for the past two years.
Police said that the gym trainer, identified as Vimal Soni, was arrested on Saturday following a massive search operation.
Sources said that the woman, who was a regular at the gym, was having an affair with the gym trainer and was allegedly upset after Soni's engagement elsewhere.
On June 24, the woman went to the gym but never returned. Police said that Soni had confessed to killing the woman.
