Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale - who had essayed stellar roles in Bollywood blockbusters - Agneepath’ and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Marathi language drama film Natsamrat - passed away in Pune on Saturday.
A fine actor of all platforms - stage, TV and films - of both Hindi and Marathi industry. He has acted in more than 80 films and over two dozen TV shows.
He was 77, and is survived by wife and two daughters.
Gokhale was admitted to Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital two weeks ago and for the past few days his condition deteriorated and was on ventilator support.

Gokhale comes from an illustrious family.
His great grandmother, Durgabai Kamat was the first female actor of the Indian screen, while his grandmother Kamlabai Gokhale was the first female child actor of Indian cinema.
His father Chandrakant Gokhale was a veteran Marathi film and stage artist and has acted in over 70 Marathi and Hindi films.
His role as Commissioner M S Gaitonde in Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Agneepath (1990), Salman Khan-starrer Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), Mission Mangal (2019) are memorable ones.
He made his directorial debut in 2010 with the Marathi film Aaghat. His latest release was the Marathi film Godavari.
