Chief Justice of India D Y Chandrachud interacted with an 'AI lawyer' on Thursday in the National Judicial Museum and Archive (NJMA) at the Supreme Court of India. He reportedly asked the AI lawyer if death penalty is constitutional in India.

Tomorrow is Chandrachud's last working day as the CJI.

This comes despite the former SCBA president and senior lawyer Vikas Singh's letter to Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud raising strong objections to the Supreme Court’s decision to convert the old judges' library into a public museum.

The CJI on Thursday morning inaugurated the national judicial museum and archive inside the apex court premises which has been made by converting the old judges library. The function was attended by SC judges and many lawyers.
